Graphic Facilitation, Vision Maps, History Maps, Consulting & Training

Michelle M. Boos-Stone is a corporate graphic recorder. Graphic recording is the unique process of transforming ideas and concepts into a powerful, highly visual graphic format of pictures, images, words and key icons. Michelle captures the "flow" of business sessions in real time (as a presenter or speaker is talking) in bold, colorful images to help stimulate visual learners to better follow and understand processes and to clearly see interrelationships, while synthesizing thoughts and information. Given that approximately 85% of the population are primarily visual learners, graphic recording is an important way to keep people focused and invigorated with the topic(s) at hand, and to bring to life hard-to-grasp concepts in clear images…creating a "picture" of what it is a group wants to create together in terms of a vision, strategy or process.

Michelle has extensive exposure to various industries and the ways in which organizations grow, operate and sustain a compelling vision. For several years Michelle was an instructor for a Master's Program for teachers at Cambridge College in Boston, in which she taught teachers to mindscape and express themselves using a highly integrated visual format, so they are able to utilize those skills within their classroom. She also teaches workshops for teachers and consultants/trainers, to maximize content visibility and initiate powerful learning via clear, concise visuals and imaging.

Michelle has illustrated the books Limitless Learning: Making Powerful Learning an Everyday Event by Doug McPhee, and The Systems Thinking Playbook: Volume 2 and Volume 3 by Linda Booth Sweeney. Michelle has done extensive work with companies in the areas of organizational learning, communication, team learning and leadership development. She has helped major organizations with their culture change initiatives and strategy development and implementation. She has also developed highly successful training sessions for executives and mid-level managers to increase their skills and knowledge, as well as to create a shared vision.

“The key in business is the leader's ability to enable everyone to feel like they are part of a winning team – we know this mantra in our hearts, yet making it happen is much more difficult. Creating WE gives leaders a roadmap for shaping the DNA of their company – creating a culture of inspired leadership & ownership of the future.”
